iATL is seeking several motivated individuals to fill positions within our organization. We employ laboratory technicians who specialize in many areas: chemists, mineralogists, material scientists, and microscopists. We will provide extensive training for all viable candidates. We have full time, part time, day, evening, and weekend shifts available. Salaries are competitive with industry standards, and relative to experience.

Part time positions might be suited to graduate students or those who seek extra income on evenings, weekends, or throughout the summer. Current Openings:

TEM Analyst Both full and part time positions are available. This position involves the preparation and analysis of asbestos minerals in various materials and matrices using one of our state-of-the-art Transmission Electron Microscopes. The ideal candidate may have completed, or may be pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degrees in an applied science, and gained experience in materials characterization using TEM, SAED, and EDXA techniques. A Mineralogy or Materials Science background will improve a candidate’s chances for employment. Flexible hours during the day, evenings, on weekends, and throughout the summer may be available in certain cases.

PLM Analyst Both full and part time positions are available. Employing various mechanical and chemical separation techniques, the analyst examines bulk materials (e.g. building materials such as floor tiles) for potential asbestos content. Qualitative mineral characterization is accomplished using our state-of-the-art Polarized Light Microscopy work stations. The ideal candidate may have completed, or may be pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degrees in an applied science. A Mineralogy or Geology Science background will improve a candidate’s chances for employment, especially those who have gained experience in materials characterization using PLM, PCM, SEM, TEM and XRD techniques. Flexible hours during the day, evenings, on weekends, and throughout the summer may be available in certain cases.

Laboratory Technician Both full and part time evening/weekend shifts are available. This position involves the careful receipt and administration of incoming samples after hours and sample preparation in a variety of matrices following iATL standard operational procedures. Training and use of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is required. The ideal candidate must have developed organizational and communication skills. The position requires dealing directly with all levels of iATL Management, Customer Service, Accounting, and Analytical departments. The candidate may have completed, or may be pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degrees in an applied science. Flexible hours during the day, evenings, on weekends, and throughout the summer may be available in certain cases.

Metals Analyst iATL is seeking laboratory scientists specializing in metals and other inorganic sample preparation and analysis. The laboratory position will involve preparation and analysis of various materials in different matrices (airborne filters, bulk materials, dust/wipe, soil, water, etc.) using standardized industry methods and techniques, as well as our own accepted proprietary methods. This position requires attention to quality, safety, and environmental matters while following all company standard operating procedures and maintaining data quality and data integrity.
